In my last job I worked a shift pattern where I had 5 days off in a row. It hit me that in those 5 days off I might not actually speak to anyone at all.

It’s nice to have someone tag along with you isn’t it. Stops all the funny looks when I start talking to myself in shops

Yup. I can spend weeks not seeing people outside of work and it’s really lonely.

I “know” a lot of people and I was always available to them but I really need someone to talk to there is nobody there.
