Is it really a wonderful thing?

Or is it a bit like that moment on Bullseye (you tube it if you've no clue what that is) when they showed you what you could have won?

All over

Prefer foresight but hindsight can be fine if used constructively to assist foresight in the future.

As has been said, hindsight can be useful in helping you avoid the same mistakes in the future, but it can also work the other way round - sometimes you think something was a negative experience but in hindsight you realise it actually did you good.

It can be both good and a negative

It can be good at highlighting the bad and make sure you don’t repeat the same mistakes / make the mistake again

But it can also be bad as now your always thinking along those line and questioning things at ever turn

Witch leads to missed moments and opportunities because you were to sacred to take them

Just incase the same thing happened again

Kinda depends on the situation.

There have been times, where in the immediate short term I've thought something was the worst possible thing that could've happened...but in the long term its the best possible thing to have happened.

If that makes sense.

Like a job rejection, then, after a while an even better offer comes through

In hindsight I should’ve put more thought into this response.

So much of life is like that. How you react is the key.

Hindsight can be a wonderful thing if you can be critical about it.

What did I miss?

What could I have done different?

Should I have done something different?

Do I feel I made the right choice for me?

Can I learn from this?

We are creatures of pattern and pattern recognition. Sometimes we can recognise flawed patterns and adjust our behaviours and expectations.

It’s definitely the bullseye thing

It would be nice to know with hindsight what to pursue and what to avoid but it’s all part of growth not knowing unless it’s 100m lotto numbers then I’m in

Reflecting is very powerful and build intuition and decision making skill for the future. Even the bad stuff.

a chance to reflect on decisions made. Cant change them but maybe given the same set of circumstances ..... you would do exactly the same again

Delightful Bliss

For me yes, but I like closure and knowing why these occurances happened, helps me not to overthink them in the future
