If you are staying in the premier inn or travelodge and plan to have a visitor, do they allow guests to the room without a card or do you need to meet at reception or bar areas?

Thanks for any info.

Manchester (she/her)

When I've stayed in either, you need a card to get to the lifts and get the lifts to work.

Depends. Some have key access controlled doors/lifts. Maybe better to meet outside and walk in together?

I always use the stairs at these hotels.

Stayed in both last year. Didn't need a card other than the room. Maybe it's different in various locations? You could always just ring the one you're thinking of and ask OP?

I stay in hotels mon/fri for work ,a lot of the time its four different hotels a week. I find its pot luck ,sometimes you need a card to access the lifts but the majority you dont.

Deepest darkest Peru

The last few premier inns I’ve stayed in you need a key card to access corridor doors that lead to the rooms

Most I stay you need a card to go to the rooms, just meet the person outside or in reception and go through with them.

I suspect that OP may be wanting to meet their visitor whilst they're 'dressed'. So probably not wanting to meet outside, or in reception. I could be totally wrong, but just ring around before booking up. Shouldn't be an issue finding a hotel that suits

I intend to be crossdressed so meeting outside wasn't really in my plan.

Ask for a second key for your guest at reception when you check in. You’ll need a name to give them but other than that it should be easy enough

I’m in a Travelodge weekly and there’s a fob to get past reception
