Easter is round the corner. Is your Easter tree up, your wreath on the door and the decs all around the house? Have you got all your chocolate eggs? Perhaps you also dyed some eggs, like I did. Have you ordered your lamb or having a different roast or other meal? How about your pic for the Easter photo challenge yet? (Mine is up, not a great effort I know but excited to see everybody's pic - see thread). I think you can tell I like Easter and this time of year. Do you make the effort or not bothered at all? Having said all that, I am also not forgetting the actual religious or spiritual significance Easter has for a lot of people . Have a great Easter week and a fabulous Easter and bank holiday if like many of us are lucky to have the Friday and Monday off for a long weekend.

They've done Easter hat decorating. I've bought little eggs and a cuddly toy.

We have an egg hunt again this year too.

Easter always reminds me of when I was wrongly imprisoned so I tend not to celebrate it.

Hot cross buns are lovely but I have to remove the cross to save myself from emotional trauma. And who doesn’t like hot buns.

It's never found a home in my consciousness.

Spring I love, and there are various punctuation points/markers - extra hour at night, difference in the light and breeze, the warmth on your skin has a different feel to it.

But Easter doesn't feel like it has a natural place in that, so I often don't realise it's the Easter weekend until it actually is.

Did a little bit with the kids when they were little, but it was usually just more fun to use the extra holidays to take them away and have more fun doing non Easter-y things.

I have a white twiggy tree that I put paper egg decs on, I have a string of led egg lights on my kitchen windowsill.

My kids are older now so no egg hunts but I do hide a Lindt bunny in their rooms
