My other two daughters are covered in ink and piercings. I have to admit thinking of the hours I spent rubbing olive oil, coconut butter and Johnson's baby lotion into their skin for them to "ruin" it with ink!

My eldest wore a bolero over her £3,000 wedding dress to hide the inkwork that stretches from shoulder to shoulder!

I would want to show my ink off in a wedding dress! Especially when you consider the time, money and thought that goes into good tattoos.

I only have the one tattoo at the moment but I plan to have more-much more! I know my parents don't approve but they don't understand my taste in music, clothing or lifestyle choices! They are very fond of 2wheels though so at least I've done well there as far as they're concerned!

You may not think it from my pics, but for years i had a bright red very long Mohican, usually worn tied back NMA-style, followed by shaving the top of my head a dreadlocking the remainder

A female friend had waist length bleached white dreads, when she underwent chemotherapy for cancer she carefully cut them off and kept them - now she wears them as extensions

My daughter sneaked her first tatt at the age of 17. She knew I wouldn't approve but all I said was that she didn't wear last tears shoes so how was she going to be happy with that in ten years! She scowled a bit and now, at the age of 30, has planned some cover ups for some of them.

I'm new to my ink. I have some art on the outside of my left lower leg from knee to ankle and one of the reasons for having it there was so I and others can see it. When I'm power dressed, I get people looking as they are not sure if it's the design on my tights.

The others I have planned will all be where I can see them too.

Back in the late 80's this pasty straight-haired honky, after a little too much Bob Marley, Levellers and mara-jew-ana, decided he wanted to be a Rasta-man. I got myself to the nearest Afro hairdressers who listened to my request for a fine head of dreadlocks, looked me up and down contemptuously and then did the only sensible thing and charged me outrageously for an afternoon of painful hair-pulling and waxing that lasted around 3 days before falling out.
