"I read an article about the financial impact and the impact on thè patient care of the nhs strikes and I was surprised of the cost and how many rescheduling there were, it is not much they report on. In the article it mentioned that the nhs have said that through to the end of january 2024, the impact of strikes came with a financial cost of £1.5 billion, it is even said that the cost could be higher than that. It also mentioned about patient care and that more than 1.3 million health care appointments have been rescheduled. It is good that they strike, but of course there will always be a financial cost of it. What is your view about the impact and are you as surprised as me of how much the cost is and could be even higher too? " I think that instead of merely saying "bad, greedy NHS staff have cost x amount by striking" it should be written as: If NHS staff were given pay rises, creating a greater interest in and increase in applicants to take on NHS roles since a more reasonable and adequate renumeration has been offered and retaining current staff levels at a manageable level, this would cost x amount but would greatly improve the NHS services. However, as the Tories in power are hell bent on destroying the NHS, rather than actually pay staff they woukd rather waste x amount in strikes. This way they can have the press demonise NHS staff and pretend it is failing due to staff and not the ripping apart of its budget to allow private companies to come in and start raking in the money. Just my opinion MrsAbz

Just my opinion MrsAbz" Yes, you are right there, it should be written like that with the pay rise and I also agree about the tories, that, it is they who are dismantling the nhs, those are also good points too
