Does anyone know anything about hand foot and mouth in the under 5s???

I suspected my youngest had it once, mildly. Took him to the docs and she said it was too but there was no meds for it. She said it would go on its own and it did after a few days. Not sure how he got it though

Last about a week.

Viral so not really any treatment.

Give them lots to drink and ibuprofen.

Ah thanks, i did have a quick look. Hes got rash on palms,feet.mouth and bum.bless him.very restless and wide awake at mo playing with his kitchen lol

my daughter is only just recovered from this, she had it at the star of the week.

Its viral so I just gave her neurofen and lots of fluids. She was off her food, very high temp, had red hands and feet and sore mouth and bottom. She was worse at night, thankfully she is back to her normal happy self.

Hope he feels better soon x

Doc told me adults can get it but its milder. he also said once they get it they should never get it again!
