Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

It will show up and they will know it's a vibrator. You have your flight and then enjoy your holiday fun.

Same process on the way home.

Remove any batteries. If you're going hand luggage only you'll have to put any electricals in the tray. Everything shows on the scanner, I doubt you'll be the first or the last to take a wand or vibrator.

If you really don't want them to show you'll have to leave them at home because trying to hide stuff at an airport will cause way more trouble than taking sex toys on a plane.

Enjoy your break

Vibrators are now openly on display in Tesco and Boots. Just go for it.

Take one each and insert them before security. It becomes a game of chicken as to who’s more embarrassed to pull them out.

I suppose if you're going to a big European city, you'd be spoiled for choice. Less chance if visiting the Vatican!

Doug Stanhope uses sex toys with peanut butter splattered on them to stop the security looking further into his bag which has booze he doesn't want confiscated.

If you don't intend to use them whilst flying, there's no real issue, as they're perfectly legal and safe. Remove batteries and just place them in a thin bag, should you need to unpack.

The staff will discuss things with you in a private area, if you wish. They are ordinary people and just want you and everyone else to be safe.

Wherever I lay my hat

I take them with me regularly. I once put my bag on the conveyor belt and it started buzzing. The guy checking bags at the other end didn't bat an eyelid when I told him what the offending item was. It must happen all the time.

I can't recall any pilot ever hearing the words "fly me to Cuba, I have a vibrator and I'm not afraid to use it"

Remember that any lube needs to be in the clear plastic bag. I know from experience.

I thought that this was going to be a question about whether your remote controlled vibrator would interfere with the airplane systems. Don't use during take off and landing, only turn on when the fasten seatbelts sign has gone out. Best to pause during turbulence...

No not an addiction is having grown up kids who show no signs of leaving home it’s very rare these days we get the opportunity to use them lol

I was thinking you might be taking the opportunity to have some truly private time together.

Put them in the case and smile at the airport staff. They're interested in illegal substances not you and your wife having a well deserved weekend away .

If you want to avoid having your bag pulled and searched, put the electrics item separately in a tray on its own with nothing above or below it. That way it will be screened safely and quickly and you just pick up the tray and your bag and put it bag in and go in your way.

If you don’t want to take it out of your bag, leave it in and then the bag may be selected for a hand search but as already stated this will be done discretely. Defo put your lube into one of the compliance bags tho and present that separately along with any other lotions and potions 100ml containers or smaller.

Safe journeys x

The security staff won’t want to touch anyone’s sex toys and wave them around. They can tell where they’ve been.

This reminds me of an instance which happened to me a-few years ago. This was when my wife was alive. I was joining her for a holiday in her home country. She contacted me at very late time. Asking me to bring boxes of condoms. This due to not being able to purchase in her country for relatives. So like an idiot I put in my hand luggage. Now also in hand luggage carryon was my camera equipment. Plus also I had a laptop bag. When carryon bag and laptop bag went thru scanner . I was called and had to show contents . Yes due to having camera plus leads etc. Plus six boxes of condoms ( 12 pack) I will say security were very good . Apart from a comment of a female who said hope you have a good time with a smile.

Was quite funny as decided to take some but didn’t tell my wife until after I’d checked our cases in, she was panicking (in a funny way) the whole flight until we collected cases the other end ……. But we ended up buying a Doxy wand and quite a large double ended glass dildo whilst we were out there ……. Which funnily enough had to go In my case on the way back lol

I often get my bags sent to additional screening because of toys. To be honest, the security people are more embarrassed than I am. They are very polite as one glimpse of what it is and they quickly get you through. They don’t remove it fully from the bag, or display it so every passenger sees what you’ve got which is appreciated. At least at Heathrow that’s been my experience. The new scanners at London City are far better and I’ve had less need for additional screening there.

I was fully prepared to make it awkward and not break eye contact ……. It was all in hold luggage anyway and the only thing I got pulled on was having a bottle of shampoo that was too big in my bag lol

I take them all out. With the laptop and tablet and so on...

When I don't I always get stopped. Dildos and butplugs too, with or without batteries. All out out they will stop to check. Wink at them and blow them a kiss when they look to see who that tray belongs to.

Enjoy the holiday
