They had said she wouldn't be working nntil Easter, so not sure why anyone would be speculating about anything. OK they are Royals and in the public eye, but they should be able to have privacy without all those idiotic stories that were going around.

It is sad that they felt they had to wheel her out to do a video to speak about what must be a nightmare for her and her family before people might now back off.

Lets hope they now get the privacy they wanted in the first place and people leave them alone.

She didn't look to great in the video. She's had one chemo session so it was probably best to not wait any longer, as she'll only get worse.

She said she waited to tell her children and had to get strong enough after the operation, before starting chemo.

That poor woman.

It doesn’t matter what you think about her or the monarchy overall, she is a human being and, ostensibly at least, a damn nice one.

What an absolutely terrible and terrifying diagnosis to receive. I can’t begin to imagine how anyone deals with such news, not least someone so young. She was already recovering from serious and invasive surgery and had told her family and the media, then discovered cancer had been present after all.

They made the entirely understandable decision to closely manage her treatment and wellbeing, to allow her and William to manage their family unit and the kids’ feelings, all while battling her own fears.

I know she is a public figure. And I know much of the family activity is publicly funded. But the media and other public figures hounded and hounded them, cast aspersions, spread rumours and forced her hand into making a statement.

Being diagnosed with cancer is a deeply personal and private medical process.

It is NOT incumbent on her to share this with anyone, let alone a bunch of nosey pricks clamouring for gossip. The palace made a statement to say she was unwell and having treatment and yet this wasn’t enough.

I think her statement was very dignified and must have been tough to do. But she shouldn’t have had to.

And finally, i sincerely hope her treatment works quickly and well and she enters remission soon. The same goes for anyone suffering with this horrible condition.
