Have you been browsing profiles and seen a profile text or parts of a text that seems familiar?

Has anyone copied your profile text?

Do you feel flattered, annoyed or just think it’s weird?

This post was inspired by a line that sounded like it should have been on a friends profile because it was definitely something they would say

I've had my entire bio copied and pasted by 3 other men, one of whom used to be a regular forum user.

I never would have known as they all blocked me after borrowing it, but others contacted me to let me know.

I wasn't flattered at all because I thought they were just lazy but when one of them also borrowed a few of my pics and attached them to nasty messages he sent to women I was even less inclined to be flattered.

He couldn't even be bothered to remove my name from the pics.

Someone asked if they could used mine as their starting inspiration.. I tried to think of it as imitation is flattery

A previous profile of ours was copied pretty much, word for word. Flattering but cheeky. We ended up chatting with them - they remained unrepentant.

Years ago I had my whole profile ripped off pics and texts, I was told by a friend..

I dropped in his inbox saying..

If you get more clunge than me, you owe me royalties...it was soon deleted...
