Well I am not a sci fi person, so really didn’t fancy it, But watched S1 with a hangover one weekend And the rest is history. I must have watched the full set at least 6 times x every time I watch it I learn something more. It’s superbly written and each character was made for their role . Try it x x

Just 2 eggs usually for an 8-inch pan. Petsonally I will use 3 but it also depends what else is added.

I'd guess about 600-700 bottles. Bit would depend on the quality of the grapes and the desired quality and vinification methods used for the final wine.

You'll get more for cheap plonk than you would were the vintner is more selective about the grapes that go into the vat.

Yes and no.

I've done plenty of blind tastings over the years and I couldn't guarantee spotting a higher priced wine over a cheap one.

Generally higher prices do mean higher quality but that doesn't mean it'll suit everyone's tastes. Plenty of good, perfectly drinkable stuff around for a fiver and some very expensive stuff doesn't justify the price tag on it. Sometimes it's just about the label and perceived prestige.

It's all about harvesting at the right time. You don't want to do it too early or too late. Most grapes are machine harvested and will come from huge estates, but there are still small boutique vineyards that hand harvest for quality control. Plus not all vines will ripen at the same time on bigger estates. And some grape varieties are a lot hardier than others and are less susceptible to pests and adverse weather such as extreme temperature changes, moisture and frost.

Nobody is asking about omelettes so here are some basic facts about the main types of omelettes whether you like it or not

Ftench Omelette is simple and made with eggs, salt, and pepper only and folded. Cheese Omelette, as french but with added grated cheese. The Denver omelette has cheese, ham, peppers and onions and the Spanish Omelette has potatoes, onions and peppers added to it. There are of course lots of variations of these all over the world

By the way I hope you make a smashing omelette tomorrow. I might do myself or just turn it into a frittata. In case you misded the frittata thread, this was the ode to my famous frittata:

Just in my kitchen, where love has its place, there's a dish that's golden and amazing taste.

With carrots and courgettes, and potatoes cooked right, broccoli and iceberg lettuce, just a colorful delight. This is frittata that's smelling divine and will make your senses immediately shine.

With the eggs beautifully fluffy, and the music beginning, adding that parmesan, I feel I am winning.

As it cooks to perfection, my heart sings, my brilliant frittata, oh the joys it brings.

It's taste of heaven in every bite, and to share with you is just a delight.

"Hello OP, loving the omelette facts! I love an omelette, you have inspired me to have one tomorrow, thank you.

I'll choose the Rivers of London novels (not the graphic ones) as my specialist subject.

Where does Milly live ?

Struggling to remember Milly... Is she one of the missing children in Foxglove Summer? "

Sorry, my bad for not spotting the autocorrect! MOLLY - where does Molly live

Oh thank you. How are the vampires of purley dealt with?

Errr... They get exploded but I'm not sure how? I think Frank and the fire brigade are involved?

I think that is right, grenades

Yay!

Well I really want a frittata now! "

"My chosen subject is kebab

What c.11th Century English (possibly European) art work depicts kebabs being cooked ?"

Ooh ooh, I think kebab was first depicted in medieval artwork of christ, he was depicted carrying the holy Grail, which housed the first kebab to be brought into Anglo Saxon English people. The greatest moment in history was when it got lifted from the Louvre....

The Holy Grail found discarded and the kebab gone!...Now said to be buried at stonehenge....On a ley line
