A supposed work of art in Finsbury Park of a tree has been supposedly vandalised with white paint. Is this actually vandalism? What's going on here guys? It's all over the news

Was the original green paint vandalism too or is it not as it’s supposedly attributed to Banksy?

Either way I think it would have been nicer overall to have left the tree alone in the first place.

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

I think the green Banksy bit was broadly welcomed. Throwing the extra white paint on it was not.

Until ......

Banksy reveals he did both bits and explains the artistic juxtaposition in a very clever way.

(Not Banksy)

Central

It was a beautiful, thoughtful work of art, in a deprived area. And sadly vandalised . Perhaps those damaging it perceive getting some fame

"Either way I think it would have been nicer overall to have left the tree alone in the first place. "

The tree has a fungal infection and needs to be cut back to slow down the spread and also create a stronger base for new shoots.

Maybe they were adding their own artistic interpretation to the already graffitied wall…..
