Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Don't feel silly. We've all done it.

Take one day at a time and remember that they live on through you.

My deepest sympathies to you. This post helps to rebalance the attitude of some on this site who show scant concern for the feelings of others.

I hope you will feel better soon, but you will never stop wishing you could pick up a phone and call them. Mine died over 20 years ago and there are often times I need to speak to them.

what a terrible shame that you lost both your parents so close together, time is a great healer and it is understandable what you did.

you will learn to live with your loss but also you will never forget, which you will not want to.

be strong.

If it makes you feel any less silly I still do it twenty years on. Just remember a life is not over until every life it has touched is gone, live your life and remember them. Big hugs and kisses for your lose.

in one way it was nice to feel;

normal as in the way things used to be.

as we know now lose some one close and your life changes forever.

don't feel silly at all

.

I rang my Mum's landline number a few years after she died, to tell her something and BT had re-issued the number. A lady answered and I realised what I had done and burst into tears. She was so sweet and understanding.

It really is early days, a saying is true, no one ever really dies whilst they are still in your thoughts

Sheffield

A couple of my friends who are maternal in a similar way to my mum recognise that lost look i have on days when i feel the gap badly and just quietly give me a mummy hug. I even once managed to sit on the lap of my size 8 friend on one particularly bad day (important a size 14! )
