I don’t need to anymore since I converted all my bicycles to tubeless tires….

It’s a skill once learned never forgotten.

BRIDPORT

It’s an essential life skill for a single guy, having to traipse into kwik fit with the blow up doll every time she gets a bit deflated would be a pain.

I’m the same. All tubeless now. But should I need to repair a puncture I’m a dab hand.

Brings new questions though. Type of sealant. Quantity.

My go to brand is Peatys and the quantity all depends on if it’s a road bike or MTB tyre….

On a mountain bike for me. I usually have stans. And I run inserts too. It’s rocky up here

I’m a dab hand at repairing my girlfriend when she gets a puncture, was gonna say when she goes down but that could definitely be misunderstood in a fab forum

Yes. I was a tyre fitter for a couple years. Worst thing I ever pulled out of a car tyre was a pair of long nosed pliers!

I've still got them!

Still? There's an implication in that statement the skill was actually there at one point...

Me, but I might need help getting the tyre on and off.

I recently put a new inner tube in a buggy wheel and my granddaughter had to wrench it off.

Luckily she's as strong as an ox, or we would have had to replace the whole wheel.

I couldn't repair the inner tube as the rubber had come away from the valve.

I changed a tyre about 10 years ago. Confident I could do it now. Puncture repair? No.

I just replace my inner tube instead because the puncture repairs rarely hold for long and getting a flat wheelchair tyre is an absolute bastard.
