Women and handbags

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

My brother-in-law just asked a daft question: what do women do with all those handbags?

To be fair to him I was showing him my new bag (Kipling, half price and it would have been a sin to ignore such a bargain) and he does know I have a few bags.

What do you do with yours?

Men, what do you think about multiple handbags?

Well they're suppose to be for every occasion and outfit right? So it's not that surprising that women have a few ...like pairs of shoes I guess

"

I think you only need to use one at a time

A very sensible answer.

Well, sometimes I might have a littler one hidden in a big one for later on.

Where do all the bags go? Women always buy new ones... Is there a bag graveyard somewhere for the old ones?

I'm not drowning, just don't look too carefully or open that cupboard door.

Bedworth

I'm banned from even looking at them, let alone buying them. I do normally manage to persuade someone to get me one for Christmas though lol.

For some reason that I can't quite understand, hubby thinks that owning 80 plus handbags is far too many

I have a wardrobe full of them, all stored in their dust bags and stuffed with tissue when not in use

I do have a bag but I use the same bad for everything, I don't take my stuff out and swap bags for different occasions, im just not a bag person I use it for practicality to carry things in not as a fashion accessory

Does that mean you really got 5? One from each time you went in the shop.

I think I'm a man. I hate bags, I's much rather keep my purse and phone in my pocket. I have a bag for work and another to use for going out. And that's it.

I'm not a handbag person and I don't do the matching handbag and shoes thing. My going out bags are usually small cheap ones that hook around the wrist. I have 2 of them. Oh and I have an Ugg bag that I was bought at Xmas.

I do however like one expensive work bag and that usually lasts me for years. I go to New York every couple of years and I usually replace it then as I have spending money and I'm too big and I can't afford any of the clothes sold in the stores on 5th Avenue.

My bag at the moment is Armani, cost £500 and is nearly 3 years old and there is not a mark on it, its like new, no wear and tear on the handles or the bottom and I use it every day for work. It sounds a lot but it will last a good few years yet

im with you

My one bag is a Louis Vuitton messenger bag, it cost me a fair bit but ive used it everyday for....ooooo a long time and its still in excellent condition, you get what you pay for

These little mysteries always baffle me. I'm still trying to get my head around why my missus needs curling tongs and fookin' straighteners

Do they need to be purchased to increase your opportunities to look at them?
