"If you know someone has an STD and they are not telling anyone do you tell the verifications on their profile?" --------------------------- I'd think a random stranger messaging to tell me someone I'd met had an STD was pretty unhinged or being malicious to be honest. We're all responsible for our own sexual health and managing those risks.

"Well I would tell them to get help, all STDs are treatable now ALL. There is no excuse for not seeking help " Treatable, but not all are curable. Curious the OP is so sure about this.

I would concentrate my efforts on persuading the person in question to seek the appropriate medical attention and abstain from sexual activity until it is resolved.

"If you know someone has an STD and they are not telling anyone do you tell the verifications on their profile? How do you know? , did it come from the horses mouth? , if not could be a case of malicious gossip or a vendetta . " The person saw someone I know and that person received a call from a clinic - a day after the call the carrier met a woman, then another woman. When the carrier was confronted by my friend it said "Some tablets will sort it"

"If you know someone has an STD and they are not telling anyone do you tell the verifications on their profile?" No! It would be too late to tell them anyway, but also not your place. Potentially you could report to the police, but you would need to provide some form of compelling evidence. There is an offence of "Intentional or Reckless Sexual Transmission of Infection", however this would only be relevant if they were not using anything to mitigate the risk. Cal

They may also have decided to inform the others they met. Or maybe they didn't. Up to people to really do their own homework regarding testing, safer sex though. You can't go around stating someone definitely still has an sti. When they may well have sought treatment.

You also don't know what the nature of the contact was with the women they met afterwards that your friend appears well informed about.

When the carrier was confronted by my friend it said "Some tablets will sort it"" My knowledge of std's is slim, but unless your friend doesn't meet, or very rarely meets, (one meet, one test type of thing), I'd think std's take weeks to show symptoms. If they rarely meet, then the carrier is acting like a fool without doubt. If they meet fairly often they need to be certain it's 'the carrier' before jumping into contacting anyone I am only going by what I think would be general time lines and general meet timelines... but if the carrier has met others, they are either very active or very lucky in getting meets so quickly as they must have had this a long time and I'd think it'd too painful to do nothing about?

"If you know someone has an STD and they are not telling anyone do you tell the verifications on their profile?" It seems from what you've said that he let the clinic know who he'd been in contact with. Given that you don't really know any details beyond that for sure I'd leave well alone.
