FabSwingers.com forum: When was fab created / how did you get here

Word!

Does any one know what year fab was created? I was introduced to it 2 decades ago surely. It can’t have been later than 2007 and possible was as early as 2003 AND the site looks much older (not having a dig!!) I’m just saying it reminds me of early forums…

Tell me your how I found fab stories

For me it appeared a couple times

I met a guy at work who was in his 40s and I was early 20s and I made it known I thought he was attractive but didn’t think it was going to go anywhere - I was just commenting on his looks (those dreadlocks AND he was originally from same city as me / a totally top bloke who was GORGEOUS) and he just said really matter of factly that we could have sex if he wanted but his open relationship rules were that it could only happen one time as they had had issues with getting attached to other people before but that it had worked for them for 20 years.

So I asked more about it and he told me about them being swingers and fab and asked if I was interested if I wanted her to join in etc

I was very wet behind the ears but it fascinated me!

Then I also had a friend who her and her bf were swingers / they met here and she used to (allegedly) carry out men’s strange requests (they’d find her on fab and discuss then do it )

such as locking a man in a dog cage in their living room while they had a party and people insulted him AND shitting on a glass table above someone’s face…

After hearing those two people talk about the same website -

I was hooked. Always been partial to knowing what makes people tick and how different we all are.

we came across it back in 2000 i think, we were on a couple of others first which were unmoderated so you can imagine the abuse that went round it, left them of course after doing a “yahoo” search and finding this one

I knew nothing about sites such as this or had any experience of swinging or meeting people for sex until I was 52.

I found another site almost accidentally but it wasn't very user friendly and then I found this one.

Even after 8 years here I'm still not a swinger, have no interest in the lifestyle and just see it all as a hobby or distraction.

Do you mean you don’t see yourself as a swinger? I’m curious here - if you don’t mind - what do you define as a swinger? Your profile and verifications read as swinger to me? But perhaps we define it differently. Feel free not to answer - I’m just curious x

Took a break during Covid to sort my life out an exit an unpleasant relationship and recently came back because life is sorted.

So group sex and clubs is swinging for you? Okay I hear that. By your definition I am also not a swinger then. I still wonder. I’ve had only 1-2-1 meets (found ALL of them disappointing as my imagination is always a lot better) but I have made some really great friends who I found via having sex with them once so that’s good.

I’ve been to a club once but with my monogamous partner at the time (he was and is a swinger but we were exclusive) but neither of us played with anyone else and he asked my permission to watch others.

But - ima go again alone maybe just to observe - I’m not 100% sure.

Lots of my friends are swingers. I call myself poly as I love more than one at a time but don’t tend to sex more than one at a time..

Oh thanks! No way!!!! I was here from the beginning! Oooh I’m so proud!! For me it must have been late 2006-7 then as the site was clearly already up and running before I arrived and it definitely wasn’t after September 2007 because that’s when I moved to Canada and I KNOW I was on fab before then.

Informed Consent, there's a blast from the past. I (Steve) went from there to MingingHeaven (where I met Debs), went to Mels when SH became a paysite and came here when a friend told us about this place.

I know I was on here pre 2012, because that was the year London hosted the Olympics and I met a few people from here who were posted local to help with the security.

A friend said she joined in 2009 and I was definitely on here before her as I mentioned it to her, as we were on a different site which wasn't that great. So not great, in fact, I've forgotten what it was called.

For me, it was about the same time as you, 2007 and have been in and off, with various user names, over the years.

I was introduced to it by an online friend at the other end of the UK from where I was living.

Made some great friends through here over the years and would hope there are more to be made

It was early 2000s. A couple of posters have mentioned 2006 and that sounds about right.

I was a member of SH back then which was a free site and the owner sold out to a company which turned it into a pay site.

Existing members were promised they would keep their free membership but some members decided to set up their own site and Fabswingers was born.

I did hang around on SH for a while afterwards but eventually migrated here as did a lot of the SH members.

If you look on the login page it tells you fabswingers was created in 2006.

Fabguys was 4 years later in 2010.

I first joined fabswingers before they made fabguys after it was suggested by friends.

I switched to mainly using fabguys in 2010.

I logged back in here last year to catch up with a friend, read the forum realised it was a lot more welcoming and friendly than the fabguys forum so stuck around.

I was running my own dating sites and found a lot of couples so tailored my site to that. Then discussed with wife as we used to play snog your mates wife at the end of the night when courting. So we discussed having a go ourselves, we both admitted to being bi curious and the stress is history. Fab was the second site we joined.

Been here close to 15 years, maybe longer. I was in a yahoo group for gangbangs in Bristol but yahoo got strict cause it was an adult group and I don't think all of us had ages displayed etc so the group got removed. Before the group went I had an email from the group admin saying about fab and the groups' profile on fab and I've been here ever since. The original GB group has stopped and others have came along but I'm now with a partner and enjoying Chams and will be there today.

I think fab was launched in 2006.. I heard about it from someone I met on another site ....I'm on & off here 6yrs now .. I'd never return to dating sites again.. 1 in particular is full of cat fish & freaks & creeps....

Fab is so much better & majority of peeps here are lovely people from my experience of meeting, chatting & being in the forums....
