Does anybody else think football is so in the pocket of sponsors and the media that games are played to suit. I mean City v pool today. Everyone watching wanted to see a win either way, but no. Even stevens and keep it exciting and tight at the top. Fixed?

"You think the entire Premier League is fixed?"

No. Just the ones that attract huge media attention and played to keep the title to the wire. Talk sport radio have been talking up the draw all week. .....And the result was... a draw and keeps the excitement going.

Absolutely! For Liverpool's penalty shout, we literally have competent refs with cameras who would normally always overturn a stonewall decision like that

I dn't think they will. It's Porto you should be concerned about.

If they fix one game, would they not need to fix them all? At what point do they stop fixing and let the best team win?

Just seems odd that all the big title clashes end in a draw to keep the rollercoaster ride going.

There’s no fix or conspiracy. The refs are just poor.

King Kai should have been sent off yesterday but wasn’t, then goes on to score the winner

It was never a penalty and I'm a Chelsea fan.

My argument for it being a penalty is that the ref gives that as a free kick (rightly or wrongly) in the middle of the park

Nah not fixed. Liverpool missed several easy goals as did City, comes down to the fact the players massive egos got the better of them.

As for the Penalty thing in the last minute, tricky to judge but he did get the ball milliseconds before he clattered the other player.

I think ManC will win the league. Liverpool 2nd and the the gunners 3rd. (They glitched against Porto away and that fragiility will cost them in the title race)

That’s what the stats say. City’s last 5 games are 15/15 for them so it’s the next 5 that matter.

We have the hardest run in but we’ll give it a massive fight

If you don’t want draws .. have a penalty shootout after every game!

Yeah… if you truly believe this, the next 6-7 games don’t really matter.. it will come down to the last 2-3… why bother playing them… am I right?

Would like to see Arsenal win the league but do feel like they’ll drop off and the red shite will have a fairytale ending for Klopp.

I’m just glad I don’t have to watch Everton for 3 weeks. That club will be the death of me.

Forgive my silly ideas, but if you have two very good teams who are similarly matched in terms of league position, points, goal difference etc, isn't a draw a very likely outcome when they play each other?

No I don’t think it’s fixed, two very good teams, but certain referees have biasses whether they are conscious or subconscious.

I mean with all those billions of pounds invested and zillionaire club owners from Russia, Saudi, big business, I mean nobody would be fixing stuff that's for sure as mustn't

Exactly. Then the media pundits can pat themselves on the back and the narrative continues.

I'm confused. What do pundits and narratives have to do with the simple law of "even Stevens"? In any sporting league at any level, the likely outcome of two closely matched teams is a draw. My team (in league 2) drew 1-1 yesterday. Was that fixed? What's that narrative? You can discount pundits saying anything because I doubt a football pundit even noticed the fixture taking place.
