Do you ever find buying knickers/pants/boxers are a minefield!

I thought it about time I got new ones and there are so many styles and colours to choose! I like proper battle pant type affairs that you can hoike up to the armpits...I've just ordered some and hoping they will be comfy. At my age I like comfy. And black. If it's black and comfy I'm happy

What about you? What's your style?
