No it never occurred to me to do so. My mum used to trundle into the kitchen on her walker when I was unloading her delivery and hand the delivery person a fiver though.

This isn't America.

On the couple of occasions delivery drivers have helped carry/position heavy building stuff I have been known to throw them a few beers for the end of the day.

As a rule I don't supplement employers underpaying staff to maximise profits.
