Do you go for seconds when friends have cooked a meal you like or do you just say you had enough even though you would have liked more?

Secret hideaway in the pennines

If there is food left and you are enjoying it, ask for more, I'm sure the host will be well pleased

Hah, this happened last night! The last bit of apple crumble was up for grabs and the host asked if I wanted any more. The guilt got the better of me so I just watched him eat it with envious eyes.

Would you ever ask for a bit more yourself if you know there is more left

Depends. Some people cooking is difficult to swallow the 1st time rounds.

.

I don't really have to because my friends tend to cook family-style meals for dinner parties.

Like spatchcocking and marinating a chicken and serving it with various salads and rice/potato dishes. If it wasn't that style, I'd probably not say anything and grab fries and a milkshake on the way home.

Lol, yes the family style is great as you can just keep picking more of what you like. Unless ghe host has been mean and not put enough for extra for everyone on.

If they're on offer, and I've enjoyed it, I'm in!

Why not? I think it's a huge compliment! Like Meli, my friends and family are normally never short of food!

Actually, if you're with my family, I don't fancy your chances at declining seconds, whether you want them or not. We're feeders.

Fair enough.

I never ever like to eat the last of something, so if I am going to ask for seconds, I would go in first.

Also, if I’m cooking and someone asks for seconds, I can’t tell you how much I like that.

I'm a feeder when I cook so there's likely enough for seconds for everyone or a meal the next day if you came for dinner here

Tinder

If there's food, and I like it, and I'm hungry, I'm eating it. I probably won't even ask!

If I liked it and there's some more then yes but I rarely finish a meal, I get full quick - I wax extremely disappointed with only 3 plates at the all you can eat Chinese (one being two spring rolls)

Gutted!

Mrs
