Last 3 places I've visited that you could probably cover most cool things in that time would be Lisbon, Bergamo and Bologna.

German citoes are great for that. Easy to get to, plenty to do, good food ... Berlin, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Munich, Hamburg, Heidelberg all great

I liked Prague. The cathedral/castle was really nice to look around and there is a lot of history in the city.

The funnel cakes were fab too lol

Next Door

Goto Google flights, put anywhere as the destination on your preferred dates and then search. Select the cheapest flight.

I looked earlier in the week and was saw some really cheap returned flights in Europe

"Thanks for the travel tips folks - Bratislava seems to pop up often in my socials. Anyone been?"

Yes, it's nice enough (old quarter etc), but not sure I'd choose it over other options. It's also very small so there wasn't huge amount to do.

Vienna is really close by if you fancied central Europe and much nicer in my opinion (though a bit staid, I thought).

I've spent a few days in Bratislava and thought it was a bit of a dump.If you do go I recommend getting the hydrofoil to Vienna from there and possibly(like we did) a bus back.
