It does happen, here’s an example from Star Wars. Many remember Darth Vader's famous line as "Luke, I am your father". In reality, he says "No, I am your father".

There's the Mandela effect with Walkers crisps right? Like I'm convinced salt n vinegar and cheese n onion had their colours reversed years ago.

But they've always been

Cheese and onion: blue

Salt and vineger: green, right?

Not once has anybody in Star Trek ever said "Beam me up Scotty". It's always been "Scotty, 2 to beam up" or something along those lines

'alas poor Yorick, I knew him well ' isn't the correct quote from Hamlet.

It's

'alas poor Yorick! I knew him Horatio'

Is it because Golden wonder are the other way round and many years ago they were the big well known brand?

Used to go down south east England as kid in eighties and walkers always blue for cheese onion and green salt and vinegar.

I think this comes from walkers replacing golden wonder as leading brand
