My eldest informed me, 15 mins before he had to leave for school that he had to dress up for book day today!!

I put him in a fluffy Grinch jammies and sent him on his way

If you had the same situation, who could you dress them up as using what you already have at home?

Why do they do these things to us?!

She has a few different costumes tucked away in her wardrobe from previous years in case of emergencies. It would be a recycled outfit.

24 years ago, I had the same dilemma with my 6yr old. So, we scraped together a pair of his dad's white chino's with the bottoms turned up, my red satin embroidered waistcoat [don't judge me...it was the 90's lol], an old white sheet cut up to make a turban, his white PE Tshirt, and his slippers. And our chrome teapot pretended to be a magic lamp for the day

Harry Potter as we have everything from when my eldest did it years ago. Little one is fairly easy nowadays as the books he reads are older the characters don't really wear anything special.
