While I can appreciate that if you have something to sell you'll want to get as much for it as you can. Any thing for sale could be said to be worth whatever someone will pay for it. But it would also seem that what might be considered fair and reasonable is not a consideration...

A pack of pork chops to feed two people may cost anything from say £4 to £6, while at the same time a pact of Pigs liver, more than enough to feed two people £0.56p

Yes I know one is pork chop 'prime' and the liver is 'offal' BUT the fact is it it cost exactly the same to produce both products, they come from the same animal! Also as there is a lot less liver compared to the other meat parts/quantity one might reason that the liver would be more expensive.

Assuming that the price of liver produces a profit for the supermarket (why stock it / sell it otherwise?) the profit margin on the meat products must be compatible with a Goose laying golden eggs!!!
