We know eachothers pins, we both leave our phones just hanging around the house. Neither of us have snooped, there's just no reason to.

If trust took such a massive hit that checking someone's phone becomes a good idea, it's probably a better idea just to walk away from the relationship imo

That’s a relationship that I would want, one where I know, I don’t have an issue of them looking at my phone, and one where I know they wouldn’t have an issue of me looking out there’s.

I’d also like to be in a relationship where I wouldn’t have a think I needed to look at her phone for anything, but innocent reasons.

This is how I've been with partners, no barriers to access but equally, no inclination to look, though would feel free to use their phone or them use mine.

People who want to hide can easily use other phones or tablets, etc. If your gut says something is off, it likely is.

I think if there is mutual behaviour that builds trust, a dodgy looking situation wouldn't cause alarm because you'd be sure it was innocent & can be explained. Where as vague, grey area behaviour breeds doubts, suspicions grow and even an innocent situation can feel off because the person isnt reinforcing security/ confidence in the relationship.

My adult kids know the password to my phone. Access to here is via incognito. Passwords and private pics saved in independent coded vaults which they don't have access to.

In my last LTR, we shared our passwords though I had no need to be accessing his until his behaviour changed slightly whenever he was using his and my gut instinct was right when I suspected he was cheating and I called him out on it - access to his phone and evidence was there.

One of the worst jobs I had after my wife died was looking through phone.

Didn’t want to do it, didn’t like doing it, but necessary in case I missed something or needed to know something.

Honestly if you don’t need to, don’t let curiousity or whatever tempt you into doing it.
