Hope you're ok.

I think the staff do the best they can under very difficult circumstances.

I've had a lot of dealings with the NHS and overall can say I'm very happy. There's definite room for improvement though.

The only way I've been treated badly by the NHS ever was summer 2022.

I'd waited almost a year if a series of cortisone injections into my left shoulder and when I finally got the appointment I was thrilled!

Went to the hospital on the day and the Dr who was supposed to see me was off. No one to replace him for my appointment so, back home I went to reschedule (which I apparently had to do over the phone, not there and then in person!)

I finally got the injections in December 2023 and because if the delay, need to now have more.

Quite annoying as it makes it difficult to work and do things. But, that's my only bad story and I've been a frequent visitor to my local hospital over the last 40 years.

Glad you had good care when you needed it. My last year's experience was awful. I guess it depends where you go to be treated and for what.

Oh that's good OP, hope you're better and feeling fine.

I am lucky as my career is with public service, including NHS, Community Health, Local Government and now Transport. I can navigate the silos fairly well.

We should teach government structures at school so everyone knows who does what and if they are failing, can understand who is ultimately responsible with all the finger pointing.

Then go to the ballot box with sufficient knowledge of the truth.

Glad you finally getting sorted , l do feel if l was treated in Nottm where l was from years ago things would have been different , having worked on NHS buildings then l could see the problems over overcrowding and huge queues. Depends where you get treated l suppose.
