Anyone else in need of cheering up?

Edinburgh

I still have post Paris blues, I worked all weekend, I'm in a lot of pain with stupid Plantar Fasciitis, it is Monday and I'm back to work again, it's freezing and I'm going to have to scrape ice off the car before I go anywhere.

Tell me something lovely, share some nice news, tell a joke, make me laugh, or share a white shirt to cheer me up. Anything goes.

If you need cheering up too, then join in - hopefully someone will help turn your frown upside down.

You see Nat always cheers everyone one up. Snd she is right, always great to see you on here. I am feeling a bit like that but luckily have the day off today so will try to cheer myself up with something nice to do. If anything else fails, there is chocolate in the cupboard and cake in the fridge. I hope you find your happy stimulants and have a lovely day

Mswyld, what are you doing to treat your plantar fasciitis?

There was a forum thread on it the other week with lots of good advice. It's truly a painful nightmare.

I've definitely got hit with back to reality blues - I want to be back on honeymoon with zero stress.

Instead I'm picking up after the kids for the 173930 time while trying to get school ready.

Hope your Monday turns out lovely.

I need cheering up too. Had a hotel booked for me and my fwb to catch up as it's been so long and he cancelled. Time for a new FWB I think because this is a recurrent theme of cancelling. Today was one cancel too far

Good morning. I'll start with good news. I'm seeing a consultant tomorrow about nerve pain I've had for ages. I take meds, but they have loads of side effects. I've been waiting since September for an NHS appointment. However, they sent me a letter in December saying it's going to be next August!! I was thinking of just waiting it out, but I can't even work currently so I just thought feck it, I’ll pay to see someone.

The good news is he’ll give me lots of advice. But the bad news is he’ll probably recommend me having a nerve block which costs around 2k privately. I FEEL REALLY POSITIVE ABOUT THIS YEAR THOUGH. FEEL I'M MOVING IN A GOOD DIRECTION.

Well it might be a minor consolation but you've obviously gotten rid of an idiot if he'd keep cancelling on you. The positive is you've realised your own worth and that you deserve better.

Sorry to read about your health problems but at least there's movement happening which will hopefully get you to a better place with them.

Sorry, I had every intention of replying to you all but work took over.

Excellent jokes, some good news and cute stories

And thank you to everyone being lovely. I don't do feeling sorry for myself often but it happens to us all sometimes.

For everyone having a tough day or been let down by others, I hope you're feeling better now the day is over. Tomorrow is a new day.

Remember who you are and how much happiness you all deserve xx

Wyld, you beautiful human, I hope your day has exceeded the expectations you had of it at the beginning of this thread, and that the remainder of your evening is decent.

Very sorry about that. Ot can't be easy but you try and do little things to bring you up so you can deal with the bigger stuff Also share how you feel and talk to family and friends to. A professional too if you think it could help. Wishing you all the best.
