How accurate do u find it,I often check to see who's near and often it says someone's within a few miles only to find that they're actually 10 miles away

It depends if they log in while travelling - we have been away for the weekend I didn't log in on the drive back so until I did it would have shown 60 miles from where we were.

People move.

I'd never turn it on when at home and would potentially only ever use it while away.

Even then, its just out of idle curiosity. The proximity of someone else is no indication that they're potentially compatible company, at all interesting and most importantly, have the slightest inclination to actually want to meet at that moment.

It's a bit odd to think that just because someone's close that it in any way increases the chance of meeting them. And of course some people find it more than a little stalky, so never, ever turn it on.

North East / London

Wildly inaccurate.

I have been stood next to someone and who’s near said we were 98 mile apart.

The functionality itself of mostly accurate. But most people have it turned off and sometimes they login when they are travelling which isn't updated for awhile.

C got the train to London the other day and I could track her progress on FAB for who looked at us and also winked

I would hate to live near a train line or motorway and see a hot people was close, only to check again 10 mins later and they are 30 miles away

I've had the same, on a train from London. Perhaps I should switch mine off.

A builder working in my house found me when he looked at Fab in his lunchbreak.

I have also found a man in the same pub.

NORWAY Wherever I lay my hat

I used to be pretty accurate if the person logged on. No longer works at all for me (and yes I have tried to fix it both on here and phone settings) so I permanently show as being at my former home

I know someone who was driven from fab after a pest, who wouldn't take no for an answer, came back under a different name and used this to try locate her....

I live in mid Devon and my "near you" thing (and local searches) insist on showing me people from Wales!

"I live in mid Devon and my "near you" thing (and local searches) insist on showing me people from Wales! "

It's 'as the crow flies'.

If you're in Weston it'll give you most of the population of Cardiff as being under 10 miles away......

I get that. It's just a bit irritating!

It's the burden we bear for living in the beautiful countryside.

"I heard it was within 3 feet. "

That’s about half a cock length isn’t it?

A den in the Glen

I've literally been in the tree opposite their window. No more than 50 yards away and Fab will say within a quarter of a mile.

That must of been a little awkward surely? A builder carrying out works on your home finds you on here while he’s within touching distance!! Did it say “currently within 15ft” LOL

If that's the price I have to pay... totally worth it!
