"Leaves the skin susceptible to moluscum virus which is is sexually transmitted"

So you can get snails if you shave - and crabs if you don't?

Dilemma!!!!!

Every time I shave my chin I make sure to avoid chinal sex. Getting a condom over my head is just too much bother.

while not reading it I'd say it means shaving the fanny(or male equivalent)would be a higher risk of contracting an STI through unprotected sex than those with hairy genitalia

sorry the title of the post OP is half as bad sounding as most newspaper headlines ...IMO...

Brighton - even Hove!

Well, if you shave and don't get one then it could have been a really close shave.

BOLDON COLLIERY

Most cases of molluscum will clear up naturally within two years (usually within nine months). So long as the skin growths are present, there is a possibility of transmitting the infection to another person. When the growths are gone, the possibility for spreading the infection is ended.[12]

Unlike herpes viruses, which can remain inactive in the body for months or years before reappearing, molluscum contagiosum does not remain in the body when the growths are gone from the skin and will not reappear on their own.[12] However, there is no permanent immunity to the virus, and it is possible to become infected again upon exposure to an infected person.

Advantage of treatment is to hasten the resolution of the virus. This limits the size of the "pox" scar. If left untreated, molluscum growth can reach sizes as large as a pea or a marble. Spontaneous resolution of large lesions can occur, but will leave larger crater like growth. As many treatment options are available, prognosis for minimal scarring is best if treatment is initiated while lesions are small.

google is a wonderful thing

Doubt if a condom would make a difference, maybe a dustbin liner?

I think it was to prevent scorpions and things nesting in there when we were cave dwellers.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It leaves you more susceptible to herpes too.

Eating crisps and then having oral is also risky for the same reason.
