What’s the furthest you travelled to a football match or a concert and come back home the same day? For me, it would have to be watching Chelsea play at Swansea when they were in the Premier League left my house at 4 am to get the club coach from Stamford bridge arrived home again well past midnight.

superb effort was that the 2005 final? I’ve been lucky enough to watch Chelsea win the champions league in Porto with my father a few years ago.

About 550 miles if limiting it to same day although technically it wasn’t as I left Cornwall one day and arrived back in Cornwall early hours of the next.. drive to game..game..drive back..

Much further if actually staying overnight

Secret hideaway in the pennines

Not a football match or gig, I was taken to see game 5 of the Stanley Cup final Dallas vs Detroit Red Wings in Dallas.

Flew in to Dallas watched the game and flew out that night

London

London to Wigan and back for The Verve at Haigh Hall (1998, I think).

For some reason I thought it a good idea to drive me and my friends home after the concert. Bizarre decision making; meant I couldn't drink and was absolutely knackered!

When I was 25 some friends and I went to New York to see Bloc Party. Literally for that. We arrived, went to our hotel, had a slice went to the gig, went back to the hotel to sleep and then back to the UK the next morning.

4 weeks of planning, and we were in New York for a bit over 24 hours!

Yup. The jet lag had all of us pretty messed up forna few days but, I still feel it was worth it!

We missed BP on the UK leg of that tour so, decided to be impulsive! It was probably a huge waste of money though! Haha

I love New Jersey! So green! Its like the American North Easts' answer to South Whales!
