3 months sober from alcohol

Just wanted to post this as feeling proud. I’m officially 3 months sober from alcohol, I’ve struggled with binge-drinking for quite a few years now, but I’ve never felt more motivated than right now to not go back to it again. My life is immeasurably better, and I’m much more driven in all aspects of my life than when I was wasting my time and money every single weekend on something that impacted my life so negatively . If anyone Is struggling at all with alcohol, I hope this post will inspire someone to move in the right direction

Good effort lad! I know the pain is real.

Getting older I moved off beer and onto wine. Found it naturally slowed my drinking to controllable levels, plus took away the beer belly!

The lads have stopped taking the piss now too making it normal! lol

You're doing brilliantly OP.

I'm sober, and it was the best decision I've ever made for myself.

Keep going it just gets better.

Congratulations buddy. That's fantastic. I pretty much don't drink anymore myself. Quit about 12 or 13 years ago. I get d*unk maybe 2 to 5 times a year at most now, and outside of food I don't have any alcohol except for special occasions.

I think it's fantastic when people are able to overcome whatever vice is holding them down.

The bass player in one of my bands was an alcoholic and incredibly heavy cigarettes smoker, he quit both called Turkey during the first lockdown. He hasn't touched alcohol or tobacco since, he's lost weight, got a colour other than pink back in his face and couldn't be more proud of him.

Keep on keeping clean buddy

Well done Noel!

Just don’t listen to cigarettes and alcohol haha.

I did exactly the same as you because I wasn’t enjoying it anymore, except I don’t drink anything ever. 10 years in and I’m richer and healthier.

Well done. I’m ten months in and my life is so much better, I don’t miss the alcohol. I was never addicted but drank too much on nights out. Now when I go out I drink non alcoholic lager or and still have a great time without alcohol, I don’t need it

Well done to all those who have made a decision to quit something that they consider was having a negative effect on their lives.

It's tough but every day is a win.
