A Secret Hideaway In the caravan of love

We are rattling around being empty nesters we have 2 bedrooms that are unused apart from when offspring are home or when we have guests.

My question is if you have spare beds do you keep them made up.

I do- because I think it looks nicer.

When I lived in my last house it had five bedrooms.

I always kept them clean and tidy and beds made up for when my kids or family and friends visited.

As our oldest has now flown the nest, we use that room for playing, so that is always made up and has all the toys condoms, lubs etc..the other boy is due to leave in the summer and after we have removed the purple paint he covered his walls in (!) we will re do it and maybe get a lodger.... But even if not, we would keep it made up...

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

The bed is made but the room is a mess. It's tiny and it's my storage room but the bed is ready if someone needs one.

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

Since I moved house I don't actually have a spare bed now! Need to get one soon though as my godson is coming to stay with me in June!

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

The spare bed is always made up, but it's a bit of a junk room and at the moment there's a screwed up dust sheet, 2 floor tiles, an old window blind and a tin of emulsion on top of it, so if George Clooney or Kevin Bacon turn up looking for a bed for the night, they'll just have to kip in with me

One of my spare doubles is my play room so its always made and ready. come to think of it the other ones are too but I haven't a clue why I do have them made up.
