Been lucky enough to watch Dune part 2 today, OMFG, what an excellent film, can't believe I now have to wait for part 3

Frank Herbert's series is some of my favourite sci-fi, and I wasn't disappointed by the Villeneuve's adaptation, thematic and character development omissions notwithstanding. I'm looking forward to Part 2.

Fabulous. Messiah gets quite dark and really deconstructs the "chosen one" archetype. I'll certainly be waiting for that with bated breath.

Should finish series with Dune 2. I have read all the Dune books and none compared to the first. They all go downhill from the original.
