"Grim"

Very grim!! They even look horrendous in the tin. Would much rather make my own pie. Using proper pastry and not some beige slime! X

I like them, but then again I have accused of having depraved taste.

I knew an old woman who blew her oven door off "baking" one of them with the lid still firmly attached .

Was round my mates for dinner earlier.. Yeap it was Fray's Bentos with veg and roast tatties.. Forgot how vile they tasted.. Yet my mate confessed to having one a week and loves them...

My friends husband loves them, both her and I hold back incredulity as we watch him tuck into them. He says it is a taste of his childhood and loves one every week. Bleugh.

Strangely, it's the name of the town in Argentina which was the centre of the beef trade in the 1930's - and the processing and canning factory where they made corned beef...
