I remember we went to visit my great aunt and uncle who lived in Cambridgeshire and we went to a pub. It was the first time I'd been to a pub with my parents, and I think I was maybe 6 or 7 years old. The reason I remember it so distinctly was because I had fish and chips and they put out a fish knife for me to use. I was astounded and absolutely enchanted by it. I'd never seen such a thing before. And I don't think I've ever been given one to use in a restaurant ever again!

And the fish dish is by far one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten.

Every Saturday morning (late 70s) I would go food shopping in Brixton with my god parents. I would get a can of Pepsi in the cafe at the back of the Market.

The first ever restaurant in the UK I remember going to was in early 2000s. It was a hotel restaurant inside a Radisson Blue hotel. There was a wine cellar encased in glass with a lady who danced up and down in some harness contraption grabbing wine bottles that were being ordered. I also remember what I ate that night.

I answered this last night, I misunderstood the question.

(I thought you meant the first restaurant you think of)

Beefeaters has got to be the very first restaurant I went to, I can’t remember ordering anything, but I’m in a pineapple before that.
