First one was astounding. I still have a soft spot for the very flawed Lynch version. The sy-fy channel series was awful tho.

Can't wait. Loved pt1 do much better than the David Lynch effort. Even though it had a wicked soundtrack.

I didn't like the books that much. I read the first two books only and thought they were just ok.

I loved the first film though. Already booked tickets for an IMAX show of the second part.

I love the Lynch version. He managed to capture a lot of the book, actually. Very underrated in my opinion.

Can't wait, loved Pt1, I rewatched the original 80's film and, although I loved that, the new telling is so superior.

"Is it just 2 parts?"

There are 6 books written by Frank Herbert and many more written by his son. The two films covered only the first book.

The director said he has plans for a third film but not immediately. So it will be a long while.

David Lynch is a genius. The new version is good in my opinion but in very different ways to the original, Cinematography, soundtrack, acting, all very good.

I'd actually go as far as saying THE best and probably the best film I've seen in a very long time if not the best.

Obviously it helps being a fan but the sheer scope of the film, the cinematography was just breathing the sound the acting it was hard to fault if anything it was too short and not enough Christopher Walken other than that 11/10 yup 11 out of 10.

Cestus 3

Apparently this is the third time it has been filmed the first attempt was abandoned, there is a film about this on YouTube.

The David Lynch version which I found boring maybe due to not understanding it.

This new version was better explained and had more pace to it and better effects, so I look forward to pt2.

couple, us we him her.

It depends on your attention span.

The David lynch version every character had an internal monologue which helped fill in lot's of missing plot points and kept the film to a reasonable length.

David lynch admitted it's not the film he wanted and actually hates it. If he'd filmed it how he wanted to it would have been over ten hours long, back then they didn't have part 1 part2 for movies everything had to be compatible with fitting on a standard VHS tape.

These days it's pretty different this new version is fucking amazing

RIP Janet
