And was it any good? Mine was The Running Man with Arnie. A bit dated now but still good fun. 3 out of 5?

Dune. The first one.

I thought it’s as good, a bit like starwars but slower.

"Bob didn't disappoint me !"

I just felt that the film didn't focus on any particular aspect of his life well. It was meandering across politics, music, family, etc. I would have preferred a longer movie getting into details of them without just scratching the surface.

Somewhere

I had a busy weekend being lazy and watching films.

Green Book - 4/5 really enjoyed, one of Viggo Mortensen best performances

Darkest Hour - 5/5 just for Gary Oldmans performance

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy - 3/5 found it very slow but still ok

Argo - 3.5/5 decent watch

Whiplash - 3.5/5 surprisingly good, good performance from Miles Teller

Gone baby gone - 3/5 good but not great

Gone Girl - 4.5/5 really good, thought the ending was a bit rubbish

Seen some right shit recently.

The bricklayer - made me want to smash up my TV.

The painter - a little better, the TV was safe

The bee keeper - generic action film miles ahead of the previous two. But still only a 6/10 at best.

Lamborghini - had hopes higher than Snoop Dog. But my whelm was less than satisfied.

Can't remember the last new film I watched and was blown away by.

I liked it. I guess the whole point was to compare the lives of people in a pointless and boring but safe exists in the island with people moving to a happening but unsafe area in Ireland. People in the island trying to compensate for the bore by other means.

Transsexual Transylvania

Last film I watched in a cinema was "Poor Things", which I and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed!

Last film I watched ar all was a rewatch of the director's cut of "Alien" from my "Alien Quadrililogy" box set. Man, that's a classic. Still a masterclass in tension and set design, 45 years on. Not many movies can claim that.
