They friend dosent want to know

Asking for a friend is a way for someone to ask a question they want the answer to but are to shy embraced or scared to ask them selfs

So they word it as asking for a friend

We the people answering know that it isn’t for the friend but we pretend that it is to not case embarrassment or to shy the person away
