Yes in a way, I'm very blunt and it can come across as unintentionally rude so I have to maybe hold back slightly - I'm also one to ask the awkward questions, speak the awkward topics because I don't see why things shouldn't be talked about, but then some take my curiosity wrongly.

I know I am. Not in a oh I'm so cool with it, no, I'm the dorky kind of neurospicy with it. I feel things quite intensely, fuck I am intense at times. I go through phases of being all and waffling or not interested at all.

I'm, well, a lot. Yes, I censor sometimes. It's learnt behaviour, it's easier and people don't always need to know how I really view or feel about something. I don't like upsetting people deliberately.

Yep, I am a lot.

My brain is busy all the time and it often spills out my mouth.

I don't know how to sit quietly.

I live in chaos and last minute missions to do stuff.

However, I found people who love me anyway - friends who enjoy my random babble, know what makes me panic and can protect me, a MrAbz who knows how to soothe the chaos in my brain and give me peace to be calm for a while, work colleagues who know that I might look like I'm just chair dancing and singing away but actually that urgent request? Fixed that 10 mins ago for you!

No one is too much to the right people. You just have to find your people

It’s hard to define, isn’t it? It’s a bit like trying to draw a line around obscenity - the legal definition used to be something roughly akin to ‘I’ll know it when I see it’.

I think it’s shorthand for someone being a lot of work. A lot of work to be around. As in, they can be a bit exhausting. Emotionally.

That sounds really negative. But I *like* being around them, or I wouldn’t do that work.

I think, ultimately, it’s just when someone’s brain works in a very different way to mine.

Maybe they’re hyper and bouncy all the time. That can be a lot to be around. Or always worrying. That can be a lot too. Maybe they just live in a constant state of mild chaos. That’s hard work to hang out with.

Why am I often attracted to women whose brains work differently to mine? I dunno. Social conditioning? The challenge? Vive la difference? Can’t honestly say I’ve ever self-examined that deeply.
