The above car has a flat tyre. Has anyone repaired one, got any tips? I've no idea if it has a can to fix it, I assume it does.

Thanks my lovelies

Have you not got a spare? Repair depends where the damage/hole is ,if on sidewall it's not repairable but if its say a nail in the tread it can be all depending if its worth repairing, ie not much tread left.

Thanks Mark . It's not my car, just a courtesy car. No spare in the boot. I've found their AA info and called them - may be able to get to Kwikfit before their closing

You could get a couple of tyre plugs from an auto shop to plug the hole.

I wouldn't recommend using the spray stuff.

It depends too where on the tyre the puncture is and how big.

It seems to be a modern thing loads of cars don't have a spare, fook that I would buy one and put it in the boot along with tools to do the job, have friends who have had to wait many hours to get fixed or recovered.

Happened to me on year years day. Hit a pothole and bust a tyre. 4.5 hour wait in the freezing cold as no spare

. Do you not have some sort of roadside recovery with your car or phone insurance perhaps it’s something they can help you out with

Some of the higher spec models have a subwoofer in the space for the spare wheel. Great for playing quality tunage as you pointless to work, not so good when a 10mm steel bolt pierces your side wall at 1am on a wet Wednesday…ain’t no can of tyre foam fixing that for you

the car should have had either a spare wheel or one of those space saver wheels or the stupid tins of puncture sealing foam but they only work on a puncture and not on a ripped tyre and is only meant to get you to the nearest garage where you have to buy a new tyre as the foam rots the tyre within a few days/weeks

If it's a courtesy car, you'd usually be duty bound to do nothing and use the breakdown service offered by the provider of the car. Unfortunately.

With my cars manufacturer it's left out to save "weight" to increase the cars "fuel efficiency"

I've put that in quotation marks because we all know it's really to save money and increase their profit margins...

Thanks and I hope you're doing well. It does make sense that they'd not want it messed about with - which is the best I'd do As it's Sunday, the courtesy car people are shut and other places are on Sunday hours. I'm waiting on the AA to take me to Kwikfit.

We had to hire a car in December because mine died. On day 2, the hire car developed a fault and basically they came and immediately confiscated it from my workplace! No option to get it fixed or roadside repairs or whatever. Hope you get it sorted ASAP.

Thanks. That sounds horrible for you and your situation . Kwikfit shuts at 4 and the AA are due to arrive at 3.40pm. I guess I'll be going nowhere today
