Hi,

Wondering if I could drum up some support for an under 30's room on chat.

I feel that sometimes on chat older members cut younger members out. I'm not against talking/playing with older couples/members in anyway just think it would be nice for somewhere for younger members to talk to eachother.

... any thoughts/support/ideas from anyone would be appreciated!

tbh not thought out the specifics.

I'd have thought it's be possible to limit people in the room as it is possible to filter out people looking at profiles.

As for the couple think I think if one is younger then it would be reasonable to allow them to go into the room.

Like I said I just posted as a suggestion and wondered what the response would be to the idea.

look this is getting ridiculous now. leave the poor boy alone.

the idea of an under 30's chatroom wouldn't restrict people who are over 30 from entering any more than a gay nightclub can restrict straight people from entering. its not about exclusivity, its about giving some of the younger guys a place to hang out where they can talk to other young people or even older people who are into the younger peoples.

cougars and cubs can find eachother a little easier. young romance can blossom and brad and janet can soon hope to find themselves in another man's castle wearing a corset and singing show tunes.

is this not what the internet is for?

personally? any over generic bassy music with an overly repetative loop, with lyrics you could write down on a business card, being about self indulgent bullshit, drugs, bitches or ofcourse that dirty stinking bass that everybody seems to love nowadays.

oh and incase anyone is wondering, yes i have a BA in music, specialising in compositions and experimentation. i've been a part of the music industry for some time now and in my spare time i work in a nightclub that caters for BOTH decent rock music and the heavily generic dance/electro/dubstep, so i think i know what im talking about when it comes to identifying decent music and shit.

god i hate how i've gotten so old so quickly

If you want something specific which is not on the main menu then you will have to pay for it. The site is free now but getting it tailored to your own wants and needs will cost and someone has to pay.

well to be honest i am one of the elders of chat ha ha really old and love to chat to the youngens dont medt but chat to em. A lot of fbs one is under 30 and one is over 30 what happens then ya gotta split em up in chat. What you want us to do send our birth certificates to site owners lol

I think it should be rooms broken up into 5 year groups. So 20 to 25's in one room 26 to 30 in another etc. If you are found in the wrong room then you are banned for life and killed RIGHT IN THE FACE!!!

Actually meet with a younger lad and he was not the age he stated, found out through a social site, doh!

Though most profiles are misleading on here with description and age, etc.

I would defo's welcome a younger room. Though maybe say there's a 18-30 room, 30-49 and a 50+ room.

But then I'd need to lie to get in the 18-30 room, damn, haha!

A way to make it easier on chat would to have the age and sex of the person beside there user id on chat instead of having to go searching for it on there profile.

But then again people lie about there age. Works on other sites though.

Maybe a strict young room would be the best way or young people can kick out older people.... Not sure

I'm offically not a cougar till I'm 40, well thats's what a young man told me.

I think you need to think your idea through better before campaigning for anything.

The age thing, would then open a whole can of worms, like a good looking, bad looking, or that damn ugly you should be booted from the site. And so on. : P

Don;t think it is feasible, but certainly having an age and sex of the person beside there username would help some. Means you don't have to go spend time opening profiles to find everything out.

already available on another popular swing site where you can create your own rooms..

it still doesn't prevent people coming in that don't meet the title.

so they also allow you to make rooms private requiring a password..

It wouldn't bother me what categories of rooms there were, so yes have an Under 30s room and an oldies room.

But I do think it should be very heavily moderated and policed and anyone caught in an inappropriate room be immediately banned, or killed as in Funky's suggestion.

Maybe at first you'd get these crossovers but eventually people would show their true colours via various interests, ie, anyone knowing who Simon Le Bon is immediately kicked out of the under 30s and anyone knowing who Oli Sykes is kicked out the oldies room.

My main gripe would be youngsters trying to come into the oldies room to steal our sex secrets and experience

I don't think it's too bad an idea, as others have said though it'd be difficult to police if needed, but at least it would give you an idea that maybe you wouldn't want to go in there if you weren't interested in younger folk...the only chat room I ever go in is Canada on forum invasions, and I've never been anywhere near a Mountie (apart from in the occasional daydream lol)

Maybe it could be a similar policy to the directing/non-directing rooms where oldies would be blocked if they start pestering people - as with people who direct in non directing rooms

The main problem is where does it end? First a room for under 30's then everyone starts requesting rooms that they want. Not a bad idea but just don't think it will work put into practice.
