"I hate labels and never attach them to myself and really don’t like it when people attach them to me either." People base their initial perceptions on visuals. This is 100% human nature. If you don't label yourself as how you appear thats fine, but you can't expect others to be mind readers. If they approach you and engage in conversation based on their perception you should politely tell them "actually i prefere to be.....etc" if they then ignore that and continue to "label" you as they did previously only then are they in the wrong. "I get messages calling me a BBW or asking if I’m goth " Because thats how you appear, you even call yourself "a big girl" on your profile. "cos they like to fetishise certain groups of people (eg, I’ve never been with a goth before or I’d love to try a bbw)." Again because of your appearance. Plus both of those things, goth and bbw, are common sexual fetishes, most who choose to appear as such, especially on an adult hook up site, embrace it and activly look for similar or those who do indeed have it as a fetish. "No…I’m just me, I don’t conform to most labels." As above, if you choose to vilify a natural human impulse, it's on you. "Do you guys label yourselves? Would you chat with people that want to hook up with you just because you fall under some kind of category? " I don't consciously label myself , nor do i get cut up if people do label me based on my appearance. My advice to you would be to calm down, stop taking yourself so seriously. If someone "labels" you, and you dont like it, politely correct them, if they continue, stop communicating with them, block them, move on. Life is too short, trust me. Don't make normal human behavior out to be something more sinister, nobody needs more stress in their lives, especially self created reasons to be triggered. Im happy to chat with someone who has contacted me based off my profile or pictures of me. Chances are they are 100% correct or at least very close and we will have more in common.

"Its a double edged sword for me. I don't like terms like Bbw or Bbc, but being a Redhead has advantages as well as sometimes being a box men want to tick." Wait redhead.. Sorry. But in terms of labels, it’s a necessary evil at times, maybe the quickest way to describe myself or situation. Some I don’t mind, others I do have an issue. But there are people and groups who look to be an identity and others that don’t, sometimes common interest or cause or through experience or disability. Others go for ‘we are all people first’, and that may be true, but is often used to try and break the factor of identity or identifying with similar others, sometimes for not so good reasons or to try and mitigate or down play what someone is saying. It’s a toughie, I don’t think it’s helped by the pornification of things around sex, a woman is a babe, then a milf, then a mature, then gilf. (Sometimes woman is enough) Fit or BB and on it goes to make a categorisation. For a website and younger guys that have grown up with it, think that’s the language or the shorthand and it really isn’t spoken. I doubt I’ve ever said ‘MILF’ out loud, it’s a ridiculous thing applied to women whether or not they’ve had kids. Equally I’d laugh at being called a DILF. It’s weird and at the same time commonplace as that’s how online things spill out into real life.
