I got stood up twice last week. I will admit I was suspicious as, having not met anyone from the site ever, 2 came along at once (like busses!) I didn't pay for anything except fuel to go and pick my meets up but, both times were a no-show.

I was more than a little upset. Both of those girls have now

I always make sure there's an alternative way of making contact away from here when a meet is planned.

In rural areas there may not be enough signal to get online, but you can generally make a call or send a text.

It’s a shame this site is like that, I’ve had no successful meets as yet, a few deleted profiles, ghosting, 3 socials, nothing has come from any of them, I was really hopeful for 1 of them

so I think clubs are going to be the only way forward I guess

We have had similar experiences with a few people on here. All talk of a big game but when it came down to it they worked, had a car accident, dislocated their shoulder and were on the other side of the country... a lot of excuses which left us high and dry

As someone whose left shoulder falls out of the socket on a fairly regular basis... that wouldn't stop me. Get someone to help pop it back in, take some strong painkillers and get on with your day.

You can get a burner phone and a data sim for around a tenner.

We make sure our meets go to WhatsApp before we book a hotel so that at least we get real time messaging.

If they don’t want to that’s fine but then we move on.

Shows at least some commitment.

I would go to the hotel at time u stated since has been arranged ect I would set a time limit for how long ur going to wait a half hour or an hour if no show then go out meet people n use hotel or just assume there not coming sending them a message saying "if u do not reply by xyz time today then we will be not meeting u" then can invite someone else.

I'd never get a hotel room for this v reason, so many do and are stood up.

Think about meeting socially first in future op, then you won't be out of pocket if they decide to flake out

It may sound harsh OP, but don't give second chances. Trust your gut!

I'm lucky I haven't actually paid for a hotel, but I have had a few no shows in the past.

I make a point of messaging 1 hr before leaving home, expecting an answer. Then message as I'm setting off. If I get no answer, or as you've said, they've not been on fab for hours I don't bother setting off, and message to tell them why!

Staying off fab for hours on day of meet is a big red flag for me!

I have clearly been very lucky with meets. I was pulled out on this week but given 5 days notice and a 'reschedule'and I have had to bail out fairly last minute with someone, but communication is essential so that everyone can at least go to a Plan B and/or not lose money.

No excuse to not let the other party know. It's piss poor to be honest.
