For different folks?

Do you find there’s a difference in your attraction to different people you know or see?

Those that you have a romantic attraction where you’d like to date them possibly and see what happens?

Someone you just know you could get all sexy with and fooling around would be awesome.

Them that you just want to do lots of kinky stuff with

Or someone you just want to fuck hard and get it out of your system?

Or is it just sex?

Yes because sexual attraction is nuanced and complicated for me, different people provoke a myriad of responses in me. I'm poly and I don't want to date every person I have sex with - it doesn't mean that their friendship/the sex means any less to me.

It's part of why I dislike the "what are you in to" question so much. There's not a particular thing, it's based on the chemistry and dynamic that unfolds with another.

Some people make me want to have lots of soft, affectionate, sensual sex with them. With others? I'll happily be throatfucked until I'm utterly cockdr*nk and unable to form basic sentences.

It’d be pretty weird if you felt the same way about everybody.

Sometimes I like to use my left hand. Y’know, just to mix things up a bit.

100% yes to all of the above Woody.

Everyone is individual. Some you know you connect with in different ways at different levels.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet is the other parties viewpoint. It's a two way street of course. Someone you may be interested in romantically may just see you as a quick one time or occasional hook up. Likewise someone you only see as a casual acquaintance may catch the feels and want more.

Plus feelings and viewpoints are fluid. They can most definitely change, in both directions, either for the better or for the worse. And sometimes you don't see those changes coming until they've already happened and a change in any relationship has already occurred in the other person's mind.

I think there’s a difference in how attracted to their personality I am if it’s more than just sex vs just sex. But between say FWBs and Partners, no there’s little difference.

I’m attracted to people for different reasons. But if I would be FWBs with them then I’d date them.

Yep, the rare time in life when two people want the same thing, it can be forever lasting or just a blazing fire of passion. … but that’s assuming you get that chance
