Hopefully I will get 2 walks in before the weekend, and it won't rain

Hopefully I will get 2 walks in and it won't rain

Which is correct? I never know where to or whether to put a comma

Actually, it's OK to use a comma before and only when it separates two independent clauses.

Don't ask me what those are because my head is hurting now from all the thinking

The first is grammatically correct. Use a comma before a conjunction when there are 2 independent clauses.

'I went on Fab, and I decided to view The Lounge'.

Both independent therefore a comma to separate.
