you could sit there & be negative about it all day long, either go on cam, or make your profile more appealing & personal, with pictures that don’t involve your cock or crutch, keep messaging people in your area, maybe travel to a club or social, make it an event, nobody is going to hand you a verification in a tray

The way to meet people is through a combination of language. sincerity and lightness. Newbies think Fab is all about the photos, it isn't. Be kind, be funny, engage, but don't be crude, and never be rude. Make connections. Take the trouble to ask after the people you're connecting with. Be interested in the person they are, not just the body they happen to have.

Sooner or later, somebody will meet you for a coffee, or a glass of wine, or dinner, or sex. But it takes time. Remember, it's not a game. It's not easy. Many people here have had very bad experiences. People are cautious for good reason. Let go of the idea that a swinging lifestyle is care free and frivolous. It is only this with people we feel very comfortable with.

Remember, a love of sex and intimacy does not mean insta shag or up for anything with anyone. So try to let go of the sex bit, and just imagine you're surrounded by liberal minded, interesting and intelligent people. Be your authentic self. Write plenty - because almost all online engagement stems from your ability to express yourself with the written word. And don't take this place too seriously... treat it with a lightness of touch, have a laugh, and you'll find this place starts to work for you after a while.

Yes newbies do get meets because we were all newbies once. For our part, we will meet with unverified people if we have a mutual attraction. In fact over half our meets have been unverified.

Sometimes verifications can be a double edged sword. We have found ourselves being messaged and told we are exactly what the person is looking for, only to check his half a dozen verifications from people that are no where near us in terms of body size/shape. Or on another occassion there was a chap spouting on about the virtues of safe sex and three of his verifications specifically mentioned bareback play!

For the record, our first verification came from attending a social. We got off our backsides and did something to meet people in the flesh, and didn't sit around 'hoping someone would give us a chance'.

You say that there are no club or socials near you, well guess what. Not only is there a club within a reasonable travel distance, but they have held an organised social in Belfast over Christmas and have another one booked for Bangor at the end of March. There is also another organised social in Belfast in March. If we can find that out within a few moments, then why can't you?

An organised social is when a group of fabbers meet in a predetermined place to enjoy an afternoon/evening getting to know each other. They are organised all over the country. See 'meets, requests and parties' section for details of how to get on guestlists

I think my first veri was from an organised social. If you are interested in meeting people then make the effort. If there isnt a social close then look outside your area. Clubs are also a good way to meet people.

Gaining verification is not the be all and end all. Many have been here for years and for whatever reason still find it hard to secure a meet.

Read the forums for profile advice. Look at those whom you percieve to be succesful. What are they doing that you are not. Looks and body shape are subjectable. One persons urgh is another persons ohhhh.
