When it comes to those little red flags? Would you turn a blind eye depending on how attracted to them you are if they weren’t major things?

Or are you good at spotting them and immediately think “hell no” and move on?

Again, I can’t agree more. Some are small things and I know I’ve got some warning signs to people, I just know if they’re good people, some things aren’t as important as the bigger stuff. If that makes sense.

I used to need a carnival to spot anything. Much better at seeing them and paying attention now

Just been discussing red flags and I fear with some I ignore and tend to go for a bad guy. Sighs. Not horrific red flags but little lessons I should have learned by now - things that don’t work for me but I overlook because I’m infatuated.

I may as well be colour blind. Every time I learn how to spot one kind of red flag, another pops up. I do sense check with friends, which helps enormously, but I have just become very wary as well.

Yes!!! Because I notice those amber flags snd they are sometime temporary, or a onetime thing and they don’t return. I give people the benefit of the doubt in the small things.

We all display a red flag to someone. Fact.

I tend to find people that tell me all, and show me all their red flags upfront, as I do mine and we work our way out from there, in a knotted tangle of flags and curiosty, and infatuation. Works out ok usually

In my time here I've met or chatted to people who saw multiple red flags that no one else could see or some that didn't exist, based solely on how many of their competitors were also interested in that person.

Those same people were always content to ignore huge red flags being waved by those they were attracted to.

Everyone makes mistakes but when creating or ignoring red flags becomes a behavioural pattern I tend to avoid the flagee as swiftly as the flagger.

I get it. Sometimes you can be blinded by love/lust and those little red flags can often get overlooked.

I’m very happy to walk away from good looking people who don’t align with my needs/expectations. But if I feel an emotional connection with someone then my brain can come up with all kinds of excuses not to recognise a flag in my face.

Sometimes I feel my loyalty is a good quality, other times I wonder if it’s actually a weakness

Whilst we aren’t looking for perfect - we also aren’t looking for people who aren’t true to us or are just spinning plates and not really interested in us.

Everybody is a big red flag waiting to happen. It takes time and genuine interest to shift the colour spectrum from red to green. Happy to say a couple of people have managed it though

I was when younger especially when in relationships.And because of ignoring and making excuses for people,it ended up with being seriously sexually assaulted by my partner one night. It was the final straw in that relationship and I got out of it.

After that I decided after that to never again ignore them or make excuses for anyone who shows me them,or to take their excuses.

While I understand no one is perfect and that everyone has their quirks etc. But ignoring blatant red flags only ever ends up with someone ending up a victim in one way or another.

I see it on here quite often where people ignore it, depending on the person and their popularity as well. In many different ways as well.Some people love the gossip and are more than willing to spread rumours and lies to tarnish others, depending on who are they are pally with at any given time. I've seen people who have been known to been extremely pushy and worse have their behaviour ignored because they have veris by some on here who are considered to be popular.

I suppose it's swings and roundabouts really and all anyone can do is make up their own minds and try not to be blinded by the smoke and mirrors on here and in real life.
