I just wanted to share a Fbook Status I out up at the end of last year & bring the same sentiment to the Men of Fabswingers.

A problem shared is a problem halved...

Fbook Status

As this year draws to an end & the festivities are set to begin. I just wanted to give a shout out to all the Men/Fathers/Sons/Brothers out there who maybe by themselves (& you Women too, calm down??)

Over the course of this year I have really seen Men on a whole new level. I can see the struggles we face & how hard it can be if you haven't got your shit together. I See You Brothers...

So many Men work so hard & are underappreciated. So many Men can't & don't talk about their worries, bottle it all up & it then comes out in anger etc. So many Men suffer in silence in fear of not being Man enough, or sometimes not even knowing where or how to express it. So many of us commit suicide, the stats are ridiculous tbh. So many good guys are homeless, & alot of the times not necessarily because of drink n drugs. So many Men have broken hearts or longed to be loved too. So many good Men out here but can't seem to catch a break or turn the tide and get outta their own head... etc

I want to say thankyou to the few Brothers I have in my corner, they offer me good council & a space to vent any of my troubles I maybe facing & offer sound advice.

So I want to offer the same to any Brothers that maybe going through some things & need a space to vent. I've seen it n been through some shit too so would like to offer good council, sound advice & if I'm able to do so I will help... Shout me whenever, send a message I'm here if you need, this is to all Men/Fathers/Sons/Brothers...

I shared this to my personal Fbook & it's generally directed towards Men, but I have alot of strong, confident forward thinking Women (like yourself probably) who have also been through some things, so I didn't want them in my inbox saying "what about us Women"... it was more tongue in cheek & my sarcasm, pettiness, & somewhat pedantic but meant with love.

If there's any women suffering with any Mental Health issues I'm also happy to listen to you too!

You are right. The stats on men and suicide are horrific. So a very timely post. Gen X seem to be more cognisant of MH so hopefully the tides will start to turn.

Suicide has touched my life. Luckily 2 unsuccessful attempts. But men tend to use more violent means so the attempt is more likely to be fatal.

Reach out guys. There is so much help out there. You can call 999 and get immediate help.

I had a failed attempt about 5 yrs ago.

The suicide rates are ridiculous & not enough is said or done about some of the struggles Men face.

Like I said I'd like to offer any support I can & it can start with just a message. I'm not here to judge anyone as I understand we all go through it & coming out of the other side of issues I was going through makes me want to help others who maybe going through it.
