I use to love my BMX. A red Raleigh with white mag wheels. Used to build ramps and do risky stunts. Used to love tinkering with it in the garage and putting a piece of card against the back wheel so it sounded like a motorbike. Fun times.

Did you and your friends lay after the ramp and hope the rider cleared the last person? I used to. Remember hearing the bike approaching and thinking.... Don't mess it up and land on me!

A lot of chopper owners. I never had one, but so cool. Like the Harley Davidson of peddle power.

Paper Town Central, Essex.

Me and my mates used to knock together Frankenbikes as kids but the first one I bought was a Raleigh Arena. Milk round money.....

Put 1000's of miles on it going to swim training every morning and club road racing. It was the GT version with 10 gears, otherwise known as a "double clanger".

Some git nicked it but they did me a favour. Moved up to a Dawes Lightweight after that.

God Im Old. No Choppers when I was a kid.

Glad you see that as me doing you a favour now. I exchanged it for a copy of Razzle and some bubble gum.

My first bicycle was my first new one until I bought my first BMX out of my communion money, but it was borrowed without consent, along with my first double kicktail batman skateboard from outside our front door in Middlesex, I was 4/5, that taught me a valuable lesson about why theft is bad. After that my grandad sent me an old bicycle from Ireland, complete with one homemade wooden pedal... my bicycles until my BMX never had brakes, my runners used to have arches worn into them from using my foot as a brake I was a danger on bikes, my mother used to have people calling to complain that i'd cycled straight out in front of them going through a crossroads, and my mum is a legend, so they were told where to go lollololol gimme a bike and something to launch it off and I was airborne
